Hold On
“Armed with lies,
they take all.
You must hold on!
A pound of flesh,
will not satisfy.
You must hold on!
Sticks and stones,
may break.
You must hold on!
Better broken,
then nothing at all.
HOLD ON!”
-poem by Sam Flegal
“Hold On” is a deeply personal painting about resilience in the face of overwhelming odds. You are encouraged to find your own meaning within, this is after all a painting for you, just as much as it is a reminder to myself.
